About This Project

Custom Pool Table

Wild, crazy, cool, unique are just a few of the words our customers have used to describe their custom pool table built from Juniper. The Juniper is a slow growing tree that produces some wild and crazy shapes. One of a kind is the only way to really describe these pool tables.

It all starts with the hunt for the right logs. Since the Juniper tree takes a long time to grow the hunt can take awhile to find the big ones. Once we have located the prime logs, it is time to pressure wash the logs and start milling. One of the trickiest things to do is mill a Juniper log for a pool table. There is some much character to a Juniper log that just finding the right way to cut it takes longer than the act of milling it.

Once the the milling is complete, then we can start the building process. Since the Juniper is such a crazy tree, only hand sanding can be done. Consequently the build time on a Juniper pool table usually take up to 300 man hours to complete. Finally, when all the searching, milling, building, sanding, and finishing is done, you have a truly unique one-of-a-kind custom pool table.

The Pool Table Specs

Playing surface: 3 pieces of 1″ thick Italian slate backed with 3/4″ MDF

Top rails: Solid hardwood of your choice with K-66 cushions

Pockets: The pockets we use are actually called buckets and come from Hood Leather.

Table Cloth: The most common cloth we use is Championship Cloth and comes in a wide range of colors. Another brand we have used is Simonis Cloth. Simonis cloth is often the cloth used in tournaments.
